Thursday, Jan. 26 Death By Chocolate 8:30-9:30 Memorial Chapel:
Join United Campus Ministry for a time of chocolate, laughs and an hour of fun to begin the new semester!  What will be there?  Good people, good desserts, and even a few for those who don't eat chocolate!  ALL ARE INVITED--SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! 6:00 Worship Revisted Sermon series-- “Mythbusters: Christian or Cliché?”We invite you to examine our religious rhetoric.  Do the words we say in times of difficulty help or hurt? Are they based in scripture? We will look at sayings like “Everything happens for a reason,” and “God never gives us more than we can handle,” in the light of scripture and faith tradition.  All are welcome!
7:30 Harmony’s Cross

Thursday, Feb. 2 7:00-8:00 Bible Study, Jimenez Hall (room: 1123).  We are beginning our new study: “Where is God Calling You?: Explore, Discover, Question?”
We will be sharing biblical and modern day stories of call and how they relate to our lives.  This week our guest leader will be seminarian Katie Wheat who will share about her call to serve as a US2 missionary through the United Methodist Church.  We will also be sharing info about a variety of post graduate service opportunities  for young adults.

Didn't Get Enough Soccer during the World Cup!?!?

Sunday September 5th is Soccer Day at the Wesley Foundation!  Join us for our traditional worship service at 11am followed by a pick-up soccer game.  Later that evening we will be meeting to go to the Men's Soccer game at Ludwig Field. If you are interested or have questions about either soccer activity or in joining our intramural soccer team, please contact Lydia at lmattern@umd.edu.

First Week Back Activities

Join us on Sunday August 29th for Worship at UUMC at 11am followed by going out to lunch at Jason's Deli!

On Wednesday, September 1st join us for our annual Cookout at Memorial Chapel!

Come on out for some fun, casual conversations and lots of free food in order to meet new people and learn what's happening in the United Methodist Campus Ministry. If the weather is iffy, look for us on the front steps of the Chapel.  If it’s sunny, look for us beside the Chapel on South Chapel Lawn. All are welcome!

Cookout is followed by a Harmony's Cross Jam Session:

We will have an informal rehearsal, bring songs you’d like us to consider singing, an instrument if you like, or just your voice! No auditions necessary! Friendly listeners also welcome!
